Congratulations to our volunteers of the month! August- Mr. Mike Cox Mr. Mike has devoted endless hours to our football field and a variety of activities from peewee sports to Friday night lights...and everything in between. September- Mrs. Shawna Parnell Mrs. Shawna has led a variety of volunteer opportunities from PEP Club, to Booster Club, to the concession stand, and more! She also keeps our staff and teachers fed and happy! Thank you for all you both do for our school community! 💚

Teacher of the Month:
August- Mrs. Covington
Mrs. Covington consistently inspires her students to work hard and achieve more than they ever expected. She holds students to a high standard in their behavior and in their achievement and her students rise to those standards.

September- Coach Banks
Coach Banks goes out of her way to make sure the gym is clean before every pep rally, she and her students clean the gym lobby bathrooms and have helped take out the trash in the school building when the janitors were out. Coach Banks has truly embodied the "team" mentality of making sure our school is taken care of.

Athletics update: 10/9- As of right now we will have a 7th/8th grade game starting at 5:30pm with the Jr High game following at 7:00pm. 10/16- There will be NO 7th/8th grade game this night and Jr High will be played starting at 6:00pm.

HOMECOMING is only TWO weeks away! This is the schedule of events for October 13-17. Make plans to join us. 🦅🦅

These young men travelled with Mr. List to another round of preliminary competitions for the Generation Conservation Summit with Arkansas Game and Fish. Both participated in the Debate Qualifier event today in Little Rock! Maddox Ward: 2nd place Brady Cain: 1st Alternate They will move on to the next rounds for debate in November for the state competition in Hot Springs! Congratulations!

The Advanced Placement Biology class took a trip to Hot Springs to be part of a lab day at the ASMSA Campus! They represented Des Arc well and learned about DNA Fingerprinting with electrophoresis.
