Sports Update: As we start the new school year, I just wanted to take the time to brag on our student/athletes that you are gonna watch this fall. These young women and men work hard not only on the field but in the classroom. Football Schedule Update: Sr. High Football Practice is cancelled for tomorrow, Monday August 5th. We will still have Jr. High Practice from 12-1:30.

Homecoming 2024 🦅

DAHS incoming 7th graders: We will have a brief orientation at 5:45 in the high school gym for all 7th graders and their parents Thursday, Aug. 8th. Open House will be directly after at 6:00 pm for everyone. Please share! Thank you.

Kindergarten students Do Not need a nap mat for the 24/25 school year. Supply Fee for students in Kg, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th is $40 5th and 6th supplies needed are as follows: 2 - 1 1/2 inch 3 ring binders, 2 pkgs of loose leaf notebook paper, 2 composition notebooks, 4 expo markers, 12 pencils, highlighters, 8-10 tab dividers, pencil bag, ear buds or headphones (NO Bluetooth - Must be wired to plug in to chromebook)

Reminder: There will be a Football parent meeting tomorrow (Tuesday, July 30th) in the high school gym at 5:30.

Des Arc PreK, Elementary, and High School will host Open House on Thursday, August 8th from 6:00-8:00. Students and parents can come meet their child's teacher, update paperwork, register new students, and pay supply fees. We look forward to seeing everyone 💚🦅

Reminder of DAHS Registration times this week: 8:30 - 11:00 & 12:30 - 2:30 Enter through cafeteria door that will be propped open. We will be in the cafeteria. Tues 7/30: 7th & 9th grades Wed 7/31: 8th & 10th grades *will do vision and hearing screenings with nurse Tammy Thur 8/1: 11th & 12 grades *Lockers and parking spots will be sold these days. $5 each. The best offensive line in 2A had our lineman challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings today. The winner..Cole Hunt with 35 wings. Also 283 total wings consumed. Des Arc School District was invited to share our successes and challenges at the 2024 PEER Summer Summit held at ASU Beebe on Wednesday, July 16. PEER stands for Promoting Educator Effectiveness in Rural Arkansas. Stacy Childers, Literacy Coach and Jamie Eans, Math Coach did an amazing job representing Des Arc Schools. Two former Des Arc ladies, Brandi Williams and Brandi Hardcastle are directors in the PEER program. Brandi Williams is the daughter of Roy and Betty Thurmond. Brandi Hardcastle is a former kindergarten teacher in Des Arc and the daughter of 1970 graduate Frank Addison.

What a great day to be an Eagle! 53 future Eagles participated in "The Pride of the Prairie" youth football camp. They competed, they played and had fun. Big shout out to our football players for working hard with our future Eagles! Also thank you to Big Fellas Pizza for feeding our campers and supplying water. STUDENTS NEW TO DES ARC SCHOOL DISTRICT THIS YEAR: This includes School Choice students. Please drop by the high school or elementary office and pick up a registration packet. We are open M-TH from 8am - 3pm. This should be done as soon as possible to receive a schedule on registration day. Bring the following with you to receive a packet: 1) Birth Certificate 2) Social Security Card 3) Shot Record 4) Proof of Residency (MUST be electric, water, gas bill. Rental agreement/lease or mortgage statements will be accepted also. It must show your PHYSICAL address. Thank you....GO EAGLES!
